Wonderful Sleep Support, October 4, 2010 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Carpenter 5-Zone Twin Mattress Topper (Kitchen) This helps a lot! It is not very thick but the ridges make a big difference. I have used it on an air mattress and it makes even that comfortable! I've used it for about a month and it still holds up!

5-zone topper, March 16, 2011 By This review is from: Carpenter 5-Zone Queen Mattress Topper (Kitchen) I purchased this Carpenter topper from Kohl's thinking it was a quality topper. Had to return within a week due to the odor. Called customer service at Carpenter and they said some people have problems with odor. Topper is made with petroleum byproduct and the odor would not go away. Left it outside for two days, rolled it up to squeeze the air out of it per Carpenter's instructions and it still smelled. Some on-line websites say the effects could even be harmful. Bought another topper that uses plant byproducts and did not have the odor. Paid more, but I guess you get what you pay for.

I have a twin size bed that is WAY too hard for me. So I bought this in hope that it would help my back pain. Well if for sure did. I love my bed now, really really comfortable! The only problem is it is a little too small for my bed width wise, but I don't normally use the whole bed.
