The best purchase i've made through Amazon!!!, January 13, 2011 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Serenia 2-1/2-Inch 4-Pound Memory Foam Topper, Queen (Kitchen) First of all, I did a little research about memory foam and found out that it starts losing the memory foam effect on anything under 4 pounds (The density in which memory foam is measured, meaning it weighs 4 pounds per cubic foot). I also wanted the topper to be no less than 3 inches because the websites I read recommend 3 inches or more, but after seeing the great price at Amazon I figured could give up a 1/2 inch.
I sleep on my side and have always had problems with pain in my hip, back, and shoulders and recently turned my mattress over due to it starting to sag where I lay and hoping it would help with the pain. The next day I hurt so bad I almost came home from work early, so when I got home I found this topper after doing a little research and had it shipped overnight with Amazon Prime (Only $3.99).
I have always had breating problems so after opening it I had to let it air out for 24 hours because every time I inhaled the chemical smell I would get... Read more

Having a herniated disc in my lower back and dealing with chronic pain in that part of my body, I've been on a journey for the last few years seeking things to help alleviate pain when I am in the sitting and laying positions, and well-made memory foam has been a huge help.
I've purchased memory foam mattress toppers in the past, as well as many MANY memory foam cushions and pads, and I've learned through all my experience that over the internet, it's always a bit of a crap-shoot finding good quality memory foam products. Unfortunately for us, the consumers, we have to navigate through a lot of ambiguous, deceiving or even straight up dishonest tactics used to market memory foam products, and it's difficult to know before they arrive at your door step that you've made the right choice.

I did and found that you should have at least a 3 inch, 4 lb. density topper to be worthwhile. I settled on a 2-1/2 inch, but did not settle for anything less than 4 lbs. My 94 year old mother says this topper is very comfortable and not bumpy like her practically new pillow top mattress. So I replaced her pillow top mattress for an older firm mattress she had on another bed, since the memory foam topper needs to be placed on a firm surface. She's very happy with it.
Love the fact that it's delivered to my door, no tax, no shipping charge! I didn't want to haul this home from the store.
