I received this pillow with some inclination against it. I've used foam pillows in the past and returned again to feather pillows and had pretty much made up my mind that nothing but a feather pillow was going to be comfortable for me.
Receiving this pillow, I was at once impressed with how soft it was while obviously possessed of a firm inner core. Using it consistently for several weeks I can report, while it hasn't been miraculous in terms of giving me better sleep or alleviating any sort of neck pain (I had none to begin with), it has been comfortable and I plan to continue to use the pillow moving forward.
As someone who reads in bed, the only complaint I can come up with is that it doesn't fold to support me sitting up in bed, to read, but if that's all I can come up with, then I think the pillow passes the test.
5 stars. It has changed my mind about this type of pillow.

Within the first few nights I was waking up with a stiff neck that wouldn't go away. I had talked to my brother, who turned me to getting the new mattress after him and his wife bought their mattress, and I asked him if after getting used to the vast differences from a regular mattress and a memory foam. He said that he had the same problem and told me to get a Serta Gel Memory Foam Contour Bed Pillow. Within the first night of using it, my neck pain and the knot I had all week that wouldn't go away, was seriously feeling SO MUCH BETTER! My husband however, can sleep tied upside down by his big toe, so he didn't feel the need to get a new pillow. I am very thankful I bought both the mattress and pillow.

REALLY bad. Thus I was delighted when this one arrived and its smell was so mild that I used it the very first night. If anything, it smells slightly perfumed when you first get it out of the package -- and that smell has dissipated in the few days since. I've been airing it out during the days, outside with a fan.
I'm not going to repeat what other buyers have said about how comfortable this pillow is -- I'm delighted with it and have no regrets. But since the smell was something that concerned me initially, I wanted to weigh in and let people know how highly I thought of this pillow from the very earliest days after purchasing it.
